Look at me and answer....why would you apply lipstick to Amu . She is 3 years old only .....I questioned her and she blinked her eyes..

She was crying and wanted me to apply it to her .....she murmered making me glare at her .

She is 3 not you . You could have made her understand.
Don't you know it has harmful chemicals that can go straight in her mouth.I don't understand the logic of painting your mouth to look good ....I huffed .

Vardhan kyu chilla raha hai ..... guests are waiting downstairs to start the function. Har time jab dekho chikhta rehta hai ....Maa said entering the room and scolded me .

I sighed and gulped a glass of water .
We are coming maa....I said and she left after kissing Sandhya'd forehead telling her how beautiful she is looking.

Come now ...I said forwarding my palm to her and she slapped my hand away .
Mujhe nahi aana aapke saath .....she whispered wiping the corner of her eyes.

To kiske saath aana hai .....shall I call Bua ji to escort you ....I asked and she glared at me .
You just yelled at me on my special day ....she muttered.

I can do it again if you didn't listened to me .....I said and she held my hand and bite on my arm making me chuckle.

Bohot bure ho Vardhan aap.....I swear ,but I can't even leave you and you take full advantage of that ....She said and I cupped her face and pecked her lips .

Shall we ma'am ....I asked bowing down a little forwarding my hand and she giggled before grabbing it and standing up .

Yes everything is back to normal as it was the need of time .
Given her poor health and whatever Vaani said that day made me check my priorities and yes everything comes after her and baby's well being .

But I made sure that she doesn't feel like I am being good just because of given circumstances else she would start her overthinking like always .

I held her hand as  we descended down the stairs gaining everyone's attention.
Amu squeled seeing us and ran to us .
I held her in my arm and walked Sandhya to the centre of the hall and settled her on the chair decorated for her .

She wanted it to be a swing but I strictly denied. I didn't want to take any risk just for making things fancy .

Amu set beside her looking absolutely adorable and I kissed her cheek .

Sandhya's family is also there for the baby shower along with all the relatives.

Maa started the ritual by covering Sandhya's head by a Dupatta and Doing her aarti .
She then gave her some gifts .
She then put a tilak on Amu's forhead too making her Grin and gave a gift to her .

Amu being herself wanted to unwrap it then and there but Sandhya made her understand kissing her palm and Amu kept her gifts with Sandhya.

One by one everyone came presenting Sandhya gifts and blessings her and the baby .

Once we were done with it ....we cut the cake and my beautiful wife was glowing.
And I felt content seeing her happiness.

The ladies started dancing and I excused my self and joined the other males .

I was talking to Vikram when Vinod uncle approached me .
Vikram left living us alone to chat after greeting Uncle .

Vardhan beta ....I just wanted to Thankyou for everything you have done for us . I know you consider us family and for me also to you are the son that I never had .
But still I want you to know that I am extremely grateful to you ......He said getting emotional and I just shook my head and hugged him .

I guess aapki beti aap k upar hi gai hai ....I said making me frown .
Vo bhi bohot easily roo deti hai ...I said making him laugh .
I can't deny that ....but I assure you that she has surpassed me in that ability.....He said and we both shared a laugh .

Beta , I know you were upset with her over something and I am delighted to see that you both have sorted out now as I can see her happiness reflecting on her face .

Actually she is very soft hearted and sensitive. I used to get worried about her seeing her naive nature . She is one of the selfless person and won't think of hurting someone even in her dreams yet being a human it's natural to commit mistakes ....he said and I nodded feeling guilty knowing that he has an idea about our differences.

Beta I have trusted you with a piece of my heart and I can proudly say that you have kept that intact .....he said and I just nodded.

Daddyyyyyyyyy .....Amu came running to me and grinned looking at Vinod uncle.
Nanuuuu luk at my dless.....she said twirling around and he picked up her in his arms .

Humari Amu to bohot preety lag Rahi hai ..and Nanu has bought a gift for Amu too .....he said making her sequel.

Gimme ....she said excitedly making me chuckle.
It's with your  Naani ...let's go to her ....he said and they both left to the other side of the hall .

In the evening.......

I got so many gifts today but you didn't give me anything..... Sandhya said resting her head on my chest .

Ye Jo hai na ......mene hi diya hai ...I said caressing her baby bump and she laughed.
I am so so... happy. ......she said kissing my palm .

She was blabbering something telling me about what everyone said to her but I was lost somewhere in my thoughts.

And then We all laughed and you know Vedika said ....
Aap sun bhi rahe hai .....she asked patting my cheek ..
Hmmmm....I hummed looking at her and she frowned.

Tell me what did I said ....She asked and I sighed.
You tell me did you had your medicine today ..I countered questioned her and she nodded .
And the coconut water ....I raised my eyebrow and she looked away .

And then you say ki Gussa ku karte ho .....I asked sternly and she remained silent.

You will have to ....I said and picked up the intercom and asked one of the helper to bring one coffee and coconut water.

You will surely have a BP problem in the old age.   Itna hyper rehte ho ....bahana chaiye hai gussa karne ka .....she said puffing her face .

To tum kaam hi aase karti ho ....I said flicking her forehead and she hissed.

I want something from you ....she said holding my hand that was encircled around her .
Kya ....I asked caressing her cheek .
A promise.....that no matter what happens between us you will never ever go away from me ....she said .
Aap nahi jaante how I had spent those 3 months without you and Amu .
Aapno k beech reh k bhi mujhe akela feel hota tha .....I had spent most of my life there but abhi 3 mahine rehna itna mushkil tha .....I don't even want to think about that time ......she said on the verge of crying.

I am sorry. I shouldn't have kept you away for that long . I did wrong with you and Amu both . Just because I was hurt ...I separated you both too .....I apologized and she shook her head .

You don't have to apologise. Mene aapko hurt Kiya tha but aap mujhe koi bhi punishment dedo but khud se or Amu se dur mat karna khabhi .......She said as a lone tear escaped her eye .

Never in my life again.....I swear on Amu .....I said and she smiled.

We were distributed by a knock and the helper entred with the coffee and a fresh  coconut water.

After having coffee ...I got up from the bed and moved towards the closet and came back with a velvet box .
She grinned looking at it knowing that it was for her and grabbed the box from my hand immediately just like Amu making me chuckle.

Wow......that's so beautiful Vardhan .....she said caressing the diamond pendant set.
Thankyou so much ....I love you ....she said making me snicker.
Amu k liye kuch nahi laaye ...she asked and I gave her another small box that had diamond studs .
I will make her wear these at Vihaan's wedding...she said making me chuckle.

But she won't even consider this as a gift ...So I bought her a doll house too .
Uske play room mei rakha hai ...I said .

Impressive Rana ji ....you deserve a gift too saying she pulled me closer by my collar and smooched my lips .

Being bold Mrs. Rana ....I smirked at her making her smile shyly.
But take rest ....you are already very tired after the function....I said and she nodded .

Next day ...
Sandhya pov-

Maa , Papa and Shrishti returned to Shimla. They will now come after my delivery that is due next month .

I am excited as well as nervous.
Currently I am guiding the helpers to set up the wardrobe as we have shifted downstairs for two main reasons.
As I have entred my nineth month Maa suggested us to shift downstairs not wanting take any risk of being up and down throughout the day .
Also our room will be getting renovated and Vedika has designed it this time .

We are shifting Vardhan study with kids room . My vanity will also be shifted to the closet and we are extending the balcony too .

Amu has gone to school and Vardhan went  to Jaipur early morning for some work .
He will be back by late night.

Sandhya ho gya beta room set ....Maa asked me .
Almost done maa bas kuch cheeje rehti hai ....I informed.
Amu k aane se pehle ho Jaye to thik hai nahi to vo beech mei ghusse gi har cheej k ...."mere ko kanna hai" .....Maa mimicked her making me laugh .

Maa left to take care of the lunch preparation while I sat on the bed instructing the helpers.

I came across few dresses of Amu that she used to wear last year and now doesn't fit her .
I smiled seeing her favourite little pink skirt. She use to ask me to make her wear this only every day .
She has obsession with little things just like Vardhan .

I kept it aside as rest of the her clothes that no longer fits her will be donated to one of the NGO that works for the welfare of kids .

I asked the helpers to keep them aside as  Amu  won't let me give them away if she saw them by any chance .

Mummaaaaaaa......here comes my little squirrel back from school ......I heared Amu voice just when we finished everything.

She came running to me and I chuckled seeing her .
This is oul new loom.....she asked excitedly.

Yes baby ...do you like it ...I asked kissing her cheek and she nodded .
She took a looked around inspecting everything running to every corner.

Amu bache ....come here ..let me change your clothes first....I called her but she was busy jumping around the room like a rabbit .

Mummaa whel is my Dol and beal and myy new housss ....she asked with a pout .
I will tell but first we will change your clothes and have lunch ....I said holding her hand .

Okayyyyyyyyy ....she said and climbed on the bed as soon as I took out her shoes .
I went to the closet to bring her clothes.

Mummaaaa pinkkk skitttttt .......Amu grinned showing me her pink skirt and I face palmed my self .
I forget to hide it again and kept it on the bed only .

Baby it no longer fits you ... Look what have I got for you ....new white frock .....we will wear this....I said showing her the frock but she shook her head .

Nooooo I wannn pink skittt ....she hugged her pink skirt.
I tried to make her understand but she was clutching to that pink skirt like her life depends on it .

Noooooooo I wannn pink skitttttt olyyy ......she cried burring her face in the pillow.

Amu is my good baby right ...listen to mumma bache ....it's has gotten small ....how will you fit into it ...I tried again but she was in no mood to listen .

Okay ...come here ....I will make you wear this only ....I said and wiped her tears .

Look it's tight ....your tummy has grown big too .....I said tickling her and she laughed.
I asoo hav baby in my tummy ....she asked patting her stomach making me laugh .
Noo ...it has chocolates and Icecream and cream roll and cookies .........and paratha ....I said blowing a raspberry on her stomach making her giggle.

Mumma will buy a new pink skirt for you ...okay ...but for now will you wear this frock please.....pleaseee my baby ....for mummaa......I asked making a puppy face and Amu nodded while giggling.

Yessss my  mummaaaaa ......she clung to my neck kissing my cheek saying that sweetly mimicking me .
